"I have been in the RAF since I was 20 years old and although I’m still serving, I wanted to prepare myself for leaving military life. I decided to get myself a recognisable qualification and as I’d always been good with figures, the AAT seemed the best choice for me. Through the military education scheme I have also been able to claim back £175 towards my course fees.

"A lot of people in the RAF get ‘institutionalised’ and don’t look beyond their service career, but the opportunities are out there. A qualification from a respected body like the AAT can only be an asset when trying to gain employment and it has already helped me in my current job: I took over the Unit accounts when our administration clerk went on maternity leave."
