Team AAT takes on the 'London to Brighton' bike ride
A team of 18 staff, former staff and friends of the AAT set out on Sunday 15 June to complete the annual 'London to Brighton' bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Started in 1980, the same year as the AAT itself, the 54-mile charity bike ride is the largest of its type in the UK and now has in excess of 27,000 participants each year. Sponsored by family and friends, the team of volunteers has raised nearly £1,500 towards this worthy cause with this figure expected to rise still further.
"As a charity itself, the AAT is not able to lend its financial support to a cause such as this but we're proud and delighted that our employees should choose to dedicate their own time and resources in this way," said Tom Kelman, the AAT's Director of Finance and Corporate Resources.
