Chief Executive's Office

The current chief executive is Jane Scott Paul who was appointed by Council in 1997 and also holds legal responsibilities as the Company Secretary.

There have been two other Company Secretaries in the history of the AAT, Anthony Sainsbury (1981-1987) and John Hanson (1987-1996).

The Chief Executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day business of the Association and for the implementation of policy set by Council.

The Chief Executive is supported by the Divisional Directors, who form the Directorate, in ensuring the Association is run efficiently and administered effectively within budget.

Chief Executive's Office

This office is responsible for providing support to the President, Vice-President and Council. It has overall responsibility for the co-ordination of Council, Board and Panel business and for advising on corporate governance issues. It is also responsible for:

  • presidential visits;
  • Annual General Meeting;
  • AAT Annual Report & Accounts (in conjunction with Marketing and Finance);
  • Council member learning and development;
  • internal audit;
  • corporate documentation and records.
