Education and Training
The Education and Training Division is responsible for:
- the AAT's qualifications;
- all aspects of student member services;
- employer, centre and tutor liaison;
- quality assurance;
- overseeing the organisation and administration of assessments for the AAT's suite of qualifications;
- overseeing the approval and monitoring processes of approved assessment centres.
The Education and Training Division is split into six sections:
- Director's Office - oversees the division, developing policy and strategy and co-ordinates Board and Council activities. Develops new projects and partnerships and produces all student publications;
- Student Services - responds to all student and prospective student member enquiries and looks after all matters regarding student member registration and enrolment;
- Examinations - are responsible for all areas of the exams from commissioning to production, marking procedures, pre- and post-sitting quality control, the publication of results and publication and sale of past exam papers and books;
- Skills Testing - deals with all aspects of the AAT's simulation provision, ensuring that the AAT has accurate records of students' Skills Test achievements, and issuing certificates to successful students;
- Quality Assurance - concentrates on quality control issues for all AAT qualifications. They look after policy, procedure systems and guidance in relation to centre approval, assessment and internal and external verification;
- Centre Development - organises the centre staff development programme and annual conference, and provides support for and relationships with AACs, the AAC network and centre liaison including funding information.
