Professional
The Professional Division is responsible for all full and fellow member activities, worldwide. In addition, they are in charge of the development and maintenance of Conduct & Compliance, the scheme for members in practice, the monitoring and development of members' services including professional development (CPD) and the development and support of the branch network.
The Professional Division is split into three sections:
- Membership Support - responsible for the membership database, the review of membership policy and guidelines. This section provides support for full and fellow members and recommends subscription rates. It also operates the scheme for members in practice as well as including the Technical Managers' role covering responsibility for the provision of technical accounting advice to staff; raising the AAT's profile by responding to consultation exercises; co-ordinating and monitoring divisional budget.
The membership support section also includes the Conduct & Compliance team who are responsible for maintaining discipline and ethical standards among all members and in particular the members in practice. This team assists members in maintaining standards and monitors compliance with the regulations and professional ethics.
- Membership Services - responsible for the management and development of membership benefits and services including continuing professional development (CPD) support and events and all branch network activities. Also responsible for implementing AAT policies on CPD and for all AAT branches worldwide.
- Director's Office - oversees the division, developing policy and strategy and co-ordinates Board and Council activities.
