Employer Accreditation
As a progressive and forward thinking organisation you recognise the importance of having a highly skilled workforce to deliver your business objectives. Your AAT members are an important part of your business and at AAT we want to support you in supporting your members to become the effective and valued accounting technicians you need.
Our new employer accreditation scheme recognises employers with a positive and planned approach to the professional development of their AAT members, whether through studying for an AAT qualification or, once qualified, supporting them in their continuing professional development.
Becoming an AAT Accredited Employer will show your commitment to your staff and their professional development. More importantly it will provide you with a range of benefits including:
- Full and fellow members will automatically meet their mandatory CPD requirements by following your organisation's training and development processes
- Support in managing your student member's
- Advice on trainee recruitment and funding
- AAT Accredited Employer logo and certificate.
Applying to be an AAT Accredited Employer
There are two different ways that you can apply to become an AAT Accredited Employer:
If you are currently accredited with Investors in People (IIP) or an International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) recognised body (which includes CIPFA, ICAS, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAI, and ACCA) then you can apply for AAT accreditation on this basis.
If you are not accredited with any of these organisations you can still apply for AAT accreditation by providing evidence of how you support your AAT members in their professional development against a range of criteria. You can see the criteria by clicking here.
You can find out more about becoming an AAT Accredited Employer in our FAQs section.
Alternatively you can download the application form to fill out and return to AAT.
