How to get assessed

Getting your centre assessed.

Centres that would like to offer AAT qualifications have to get accredited first.  That’s because we take quality assurance very seriously.  Wherever possible, we’ll work with you to achieve approval.

We set high standards.

The approvals process requires centres to meet standards set down by ourselves, professional bodies and government legislation.  Once you’ve completed the forms, we’ll arrange a visit by an external verifier and provide full feedback.  If everything is in place, you can begin to enroll students.
However, we must stress that students must not be enrolled before full approval is received as this can compromise your application.

We’ll need to carry out an inspection too.

So that we can carry out our work, we also require centres to offer AAT or QCA/SQA staff  full and unhindered access to their premises, staff, students and all relevant documents.

See the info contained within the Approval Guidance and Application Form:

We’ll also need to know about your staff

Centres will also need to complete this form for each member of their proposed course team who will be involved in their AAT courses (completion of this form is a mandatory requirement).

You’ll need a business plan to get you on track

Centre business plan: as part of your centre application you will need to submit a business plan detailing your preparations to run the qualification and your strategies for marketing and growth.
