AAT in Schools
The AAT in Schools programme was launched as a pilot in September 2005, in direct response to the Government's 14-19 Education and Skills White Paper challenge to widen the range of vocational career options for young people and to put practical and relevant work skills at the heart of the school curriculum.

Getting started
The AAT Level 2 in Accounting is delivered to 14-16 year olds alongside other subjects in the school curriculum and delivery is managed by a local college or training provider.
The NVQ Level 2 and Certificate Level in Accounting are both approved under Section 96 as a suitable pre 16 qualification.

Attainment points
The school attainment points for the NVQ 2 will be as follows:100% contribution to L1&2 thresholds and 245 points
The school attainment points for Certificate Level will be as follows:
40% contribution to L1&2 thresholds and 92 points (based on GLH figure of 160)
From September 2007 over 300 students are now enrolled from 20 schools across the UK.
