Employer support
In a survey of AAT student members, 86% received some form of financial support from their employer – ranging from payment of their AAT membership fee through to paying all their fees, plus time off for study.
This is because employers often benefit from your improved accounting skills, so the majority will offer some form of support. Options include:
- Payment of college fees
- Payment of the AAT membership fees or exam fees
- Payment or the supply of support material such as textbooks, professional magazines or study aids
- Day release/study leave
- Help in portfolio building or offering technical accountancy help
- Salary increase or bonus upon completion
