Plan

Having assessed your learning needs, in the Plan stage of the CPD cycle you will:

  • prioritise your learning needs and choose which to act on now
  • plan activities to meet the learning needs you've chosen.

You can also log in to your account to your account and view AAT CPD events you've attended on your My CPD events page.

Choose your learning activities

Your CPD can include any learning activity that's relevant to your current role or career development. You might want to consider:

  • on the job training
  • AAT or other professional body branch meetings
  • coaching and mentoring
  • AAT or other professional body CPD courses
  • planned reading on a specific subject
  • commercial courses
  • online or CD-ROM training
  • studying for further qualifications
  • internet research
  • project work and secondment
  • voluntary work
  • discussion groups
  • 'hands-on' learning, for example, trying a new software package.

When selecting your activities, remember to consider your preferred learning style and choose the opportunities that suit it.
