The Payroll Qualification

Can someone please explain the difference between the normal AAT qualification and the payroll one?

Is payroll simply a few extra units or is it a different syllabus altogether?

Can you add payroll onto the normal qualification?

Hi PP22,

I am currently doing Payroll level Two it a a seperate qualification to the Accountancy although if you have done any Accountancy qualifications and have done Untis 21, 22 & 23 these then count towards your payroll Qualification.

It is a different syllabus, when I started the course (in September) I hadn't done much work in Payroll and I haven't struggled to mouch with it, if anything i have struggled in getting the evidence from work to count towards my Portfolio!! But I have found my tutor very help full if I have became stuff on anything!!
