Why can't I change my icon? I've tried deleting the old one and importing a new one, but I'm always left with the original image.

I suspect the image was cached which is why the image wasn't changing. When the page cache gets periodically refreshed the image will change. Hitting Fn + F5 reloads the page from the server without reference to any cached elements - at least it does with Firefox, I've no idea about crappy old IE.
