Is there anyway to change my personal view of the forums so that it does not show avatars?

It's just when I am at work and looking at the forums (at lunch ;-) of course!),would be nice just to have plain text!

Hello there,

Thanks for raising this issue. I can understand why you want to just view plain text.

With the current software we use to create and maintain the forums, there is no faciltiy for a forum user to change the display options - if an author has enabled an avatar to be visible, everybody has no choice but to see it.

The website will be undergoing an evolutionary change in the future and this will be the ideal opportunity to improve the forums.
