View Full Version : Can we delete incorrect posts once submitted?
Why can't we delete a post once we've submitted it? All we can do is click edit, delete all the text we wrote and then submit a new one afterwards which leaves us with a blank previous post...
Or have I completely missed something so obvious that I should be kicking myself many times over?!!!
Robert
I have come across some other forum boards which allow you to delete any posts you created...
Ultimately though, this is the duty of a Forum Mod and there don't seem to be a big presence of them on the AAT forums.
If someone were to write derogatory content, then the Mod can snatch the IP address of the post and report it (if necessary), also - I have seen on many occasion a series of posts cut short half way through because someone has deleted the post they made ... rendering, on most occasions, the following post non-comprendable.
Get the MODs on the job.
As a regular poster on IMDB, I am allowed the option to delete posts I no longer want visible.
However, here you can't and it seems only half designed like so many other things; all you can do is delete the text and click (re)submit, which leaves a gap - or in my case a very large gap since I have my dark side photo on display!

Remove the photo?

Remove the photo?
I admittedly come from the dark side so remove my photo? Never in a million years..!
Evil Robert
What about removing some of the black - that would cut down on the space..
Hey, my nature is black too. I would rather remove my own ears...
Now with extra added evil Robert
Jamie throws an evil-absorbing Halo at Blob. Snap out of it you twisted demon!
Hah! The Halo may have wounded me but only a full exorcism will save me! (cue head turning round very slowly...)
