Not often that happens!
Let's hope we all get 1st rate passes on exams!

Ooh it's all shiney and new.

So... now what do we talk about? :?

If you go to the Forum via the Student page, this one isn't listed. Does that mean we're not allowed on here :?:

Not at all! Members can only see the 'members' forums from their page but, as you know, yu can access them all.

I usually check all of the forums - partly being nosy, partly that I may (repeat, may) be able to answer questions in the student forums.

Now, what off topic is next?

There's not enough hazelnuts in them!

PS sorry - sense of humour is a bit stewed by Friday, unlike my brain which is scrambled!

Like the sense of humour. My brain is scrambled too. Think it's because I've spent 2 hours on a building site getting wet and cold. Still, gave me the opporunity to admire some new downpipes.

Yup, the phrase 'get out more' takes on a whole new meaning!

This is really bizarre. My connection dropped and when I went back on it took me straight to post mode. Except that I hadn't logged in. The above post is not from AAT Member at all, it's from Hollers.

I know! The 2nd post on here is also from me (Baggybooks), but I'm not logged on.

Do you work for a builder? I'm trying to source some new software.

Hi Helen

No I don't but I have one client who is and I visit them periodically - today was one of those days. It has been raining here for about 24 hours straight so the site was rather muddy. I go equipped with wellies, hard hat and a high vis jacket. Quite a difference to the suited professional image of yesterday! Good fun though and it does get me out.

Ah - lucky you!

I get stuck behind a desk and my only contact with the sites is via mobiles.

Get really excited when I'm let out - even looking forward to a CIS workshop with HMRC next week!

Lovely day here in Dorset. Too nice to be revising...

I was due to attend one last week but it was cancelled as I was the only delegate to confirm. I've been to an AAT mastercourse on the new CIS and a presentation from HMRC at an AAT meeting. Would be interested to know how yours goes as I don't know if I really need any more information. I have enough for the two clients that I deal with and know where to get more info. Let me know how you get on.

With regards to being let out, I'm lucky in that most of my work is based at clients' premises. When I do work from home I have to be really disciplined and not think about other things that I could be doing. It doesn't help in the summer that my desk is positioned so that I can look out into the garden most of the time!

Did you get your revision done? I need to get on with an essay for an OU course but use a lot of displacement activities (one of which is the AAT forums!).

I went to an AAT one last year. The speaker from HMRC knew less than us.

Revision? Pretending to do it now :!:

Revision? Wish I could right now - but I have to go to work! :?

I've just been on a trip down memory lane to see how all this started.

Weren't we all young, happy little students then?

Young? Not me. Happy? I was when I finished the OU course! Started one of the CIMA papers last week so the smile is slipping somewhat.

Oh yes, the one bit that fits is little. I'm vertically challenged and had a set of steps fitted in the the plinths when we did the kitchen. I'm the only one who can't reach the top shelves!
