View Full Version : What annoys you?
Just been down town to the bank and noticed the number of cars illegally parked. Crossing the road at times is a bit like trying to tip toe between all the moving dodgems at a fairground...
I can't understand these people who park in bus stops or on the pavement or across double yellow lines just to nip to the bank! "Cashpoint cripples" I believe they are called, who risk a £20 or more ticket just so they can jump out and draw a tenner... And usually even when there's a perfectly good and legal parking spot a few metres away. Aaah - but that would involve actual real-life walking wouldn't it, so I suppose I should scratch that?
I'm often so tempted to get out my camera phone, take a picture and send it to the police. But what do you reckon they would do? Nothing probably, 'cos no doubt they're too busy nicking other motorists for overstaying their welcome by two nanoseconds on a parking metre somewhere...
I'm getting all het up again - and I haven't felt this way since at least nine o'clock this morning when I read the resident village idiots ravings...
Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I used to get annoyed very easily - and then stress would follow.
But now? Life's too short. If I responded to every and any thing that annoyed me, I'd never find the time to look at this Forum :!:
If I'm honest, ignorance does annoy me. Some people are so ignorant of the feelings of others, which covers being selfish too, I suppose.
Anyone brave enough to answer what people find annoying about them? I think some people are annoyed by my perfection (LOL) :!:

Things about me that annoy people
1. Always taking the p*** out of people
2. Being fidgety
3. Very Very short attenti.....
My turn! I am generally annoyed by cyclists who can't tell the difference between Red and Green.
Also I am annoyed when some one dials you, you tell them politely it is a wrong number, and they just hang up. How much does saying "Oh I am sorry" hurt?
I think people find my pedantry somewhat annoying.

Bryony - I agree about the phone, that is so annoying! Just as annoying is when you answer and they realise you're not who they wanted and just hang up without saying a thing.
Things that annoy me:
- People who eat with their mouth open.
- People who pick their nose infront of others.
- Bad manners - not saying please/thankyou etc.
- When you hold the door for someone and they don't thank you.
- People who don't rinse out the shower/sink after they've used it.
- People who make food and leave crumbs all over the side.
- People who don't spell check e-mails.
Oh god, what a whinger! I could go on all day!! Lol! :-)
I get really annoyed at work when i have just taken something upstairs to another department( i ALWAYS make this trip at 3:30) and then i get back to my desk for the phone to ring and they want something else!
How difficult is it to ring before half three when they know im going there anyway and they already know they want it as its something theyve done 3 days ago so i can make the trip just once!
I know that seems a bit lazy on my behalf but it happens nearly everyday and it is really annoying!

Perhaps you should call them at 3:15 and see if they need anything else? Say do you need anything else as I'm really busy and can only come up once.
I know you shouldn't have to, but might help solve the problem?
ive tried that before! it only put off the next call until half past 4!

I am with Helen and Dean on this one. Rather than get annoyed instantly, I count to ten and then decide. Like the 3 cars that turned left at the roundabout this morning that didn't indicate, they wasted 2? seconds of my time, not a problem, the cars that drive by my with a phone glued to their ears, not a problem, the cars that have children in that don't have seatbelts on, not a problem, see a particular theme building here????? I also get annoyed by liars and I think I might be one of them (re the above....)

Sometimes when I'm waiting to cross the road by a car park and a car turns off without indicating, I have to stop myself from going over to them and saying "Did you know your indicator isn't working :?: ".
It's only a matter of time...

PS also annoyed when threads get deleted, but I guess we all knew it was going to happen soon :!:

Yeah, I'd noticed that particular thread had gone. Plus he hasn't been on here for a while, so maybe he's had a ticking off?
Shame really, 'cos it was actually quite a stimulating thread and my "Jesus in a chocolate coconut snowball" comment is now sadly lost from the forums forever...
Oops!

Was that the jesus in a chocolate snowball with little legs?? Or where the little legs part of jesus. Did like that!
It annoys me if I'm walking behind someone and it's a busy corridor/pavement so I can't go around them and they stop suddenly in front of you  and when people coming out of shops dont look and walk straight into you.
Bad manners also annoy me and when clients/customers over-complicate things.
I'm in a bad mood now!
I got angry with someone today Dean, but I took your advice and counted to ten. I didn't completely waste the time though as I carefully used it to wind up my clockwork fist and then just KO'd them at the bell.
Ding ding!

Haha!!
Ok i'll add one.
When people in the left hand lane pull out to let the on coming slip join the motorway....
(nothing wrong with that you say!)
Then they forget to pull back in again!!!!!

What annoys me? Companies phoning me about my store cards etc. and asking me security questions.
Why should I give personal details to someone who I don't want to talk to.
This happened today, and the woman sounded surprised when I refused to give the answers to the security questions.

It anoys me when people don't know how to use a round about or ring roads and get in the wrong lane. It also annoys me when people get in the wrong lane at lights deliberatly to jump traffic and later on they realise (oooppps wrong lane) and expect you to let them in front of you.
But my real pet hate is people dont work when they have no excuse not to, but they chose to live off of the state and sit on their back sides all day while i go out to work 8 hours a day 5 days a week to pay tax's to keep them. Some of these people are better off than me and i work hard for my money and the things i have!!!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH
I appreciate there are geniune people who can't work andi apologise if this offends you but some people are so LAZY!!! It wont hurt to get a job at Maccies or summat! We all have to start somewhere!!!!!!
Some forum related gripes...
People who won't use the forum search function before posting a question that's been answered dozens of times before.
People that ask questions that 30 seconds googling could have answered.
People who don't give thanks/feedback when you've given advice on here.
And the fact that you can't use html when posting to get any decent formatting.
People who park on zig-zags outside schools because they are too lazy to walk, and cars that go through after the lights have changed to red - makes me mad.
Eva :D
1. People who walk looking a tthe ground and look shocked when they walk into you! Plebs.
2. People who moan about not spell chacking e-mails - I finished school thanks and have top marks in English
3. Chelsea and everyone associated with them
I was looking for this but found the post count one anyway.
I went to Co-Op today to get some ice lollies for the lads - 25 degrees down here for all you freezing northerners up there! - and had to wait ten flipping minutes while the checkout woman insisted on having the exact same conversation with everyone she served. It was excruciatingly slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Never mind checkouts with "Ten items or less", or "Cash only" ones - can I please have one that says "No blooming talking whatsoever so you can get served quicker"?
If I'd wanted stupid, meaningless conversation, I'd have just phoned the ex-wife...

Well, as we're all about to get thrown off, I don't think it will be a problem!
Well, since we've already done the AAT and now E-Bay too, where can we go next?
I was toying with the temptation of being thrown out of my local swimming pool this afternoon by warning the Hitler youth lifeguard that if he blew his damn whistle at my kids one more time, he'd be blowing it out of somewhere else. Luckily, I thought better of it since I've embarrassed the kids too much for this year already...

But isn't that a parents role Robert???
What annoys me? At the moment just about everything, I'm turning into a right grumpy old woman!
Self service tills in supermarkets...they are so slooow.
Being called the secretary....important role, but not what I do.
Asking the bank NOT to call me and then getting two phone calls to say they were sorting my problem out.
Feeling grumpy for no apparent reason.
And there being no spell checker on here when I know something is spelt wrong but can't check!! (That one was tongue in cheek)

Calm down!
I can beat that!
I was once introduced by one of the directors as the 'accounts girl'.
As I out-rank him he knew he'd gone too far.
18 months later and he's still paying for it...

I'm feeling dozy. Have I missed something?
Trouble with my role is that I do all sorts - sign my letters "J....MAAT, Accounts Administrator", boss thinks Bookkeeper sounds too old fashioned.
My original job was to keep the books up to date with some admin, but now I seem to have to fit the bookkeeping round the admin work. I told him last week if he wanted a secretary he should have
employed one!
Moan over, feeling slightly better  . Must dash, loads to do & not very good at multi tasking!
Edit - you've pinched MY old joke when Mandy was feeling grumpy!
