I'm an OU student and the forums can only be accessed once you have logged in, which means that your username is automatically displayed. An idea for AAT perhaps?

When you're logging into the forums, if you tick the 'remember my log in' box and then add it to your favourites, every time you use this link to access the forums, you should find yourself already logged in until you deliberately choose to log out.
