I have just done the december 2005 practice exam, table D is used to work out the NIC, but can anyone tell me why they have not taken the rebate, the difference between mine and thier answers is the rebate..............or is it just another of the AAT boobs, or am i being really blonde here ??????!!!!!! and i thought i was doing so well, being able to calculate the NIC using the % way and the tables.

Good luck to every one for tomorrow though, i'm studying with premier training too, and i've found them very good.

Hi,

I went through that exam paper as well and I was unsure if it was my mistake or the AAT's, but I am sure the rebate should have been taken.

Good luck for this afternoon.

I think it's a typo, because the calculations show one figure £217.63 & then the payslip shows two different figures
In that months deductions -£218.47 (which happens to be the contribution less the rebate)

and In the cumulative figures - £217.47 !!

Good luck for this afternoon!

I took the rebate off too :)

I found the exam fine just a few odd questions in Section 2 that threw me (won't go into details yet!!) but my tutor said to expect that!

Hopefully I've done enough to pass - did every calculation twice!! lol

Find this one harder than PTC which I'm sitting in the morning!!

Hi Emma,

i found a couple of bits in section 2 a bit odd too, and like you i did some of the calculations twice because i was sure there was something that i was missing, but all in all i didnt find it too bad, so fingers crossed.

I have done my PTC and to be honest i found that alot harded than DNP, i actually had to do my PTC exam twice but i got there in the end and i have found it has helped with this course. I'm sure you will be fine with it.

Good luck
Jacky
