View Full Version : Past Simulations
Is there any way we can have past simulations/skills tests/devolved assessments available on the website like the past exam papers?
I hate doing the practice simulations in my workbooks because the layout is rubbish and they have millions of errors.
I know they used to be available on the MSN groups but they're no longer available.
Something to think about :)

It would be helpful to have them up for Level 2 & 3 on Payroll as well!!

Hi Gem,
I agree with you here, I used past simulations on the MSN website until it got shut down and they got me through all my skills tests. I find them a lot more indepth than exams and I agree that something could be on here.

Is anyone looking into this?
I agree with you guys.
Have sent query to Student Services - Levels 2-4 and for Payroll.
Fingers crossed...

How are you Gem? People were missing you...
I'm OK, well not really but I'm good at pretending I'm OK at the moment!
How about you? Long time no speak.

Yes, we were!
Really? Why? :?
It's nice to know people care though :D
Sorry, Gem. Forgot to answer your question.
Firstly, many of those on Study Buddy were concerned, as they hadn't heard from you in about a week. And so was I... (I am okay. I don't come on the forums as much, nowadays.) :D
Secondly, I also raised the issue with Charles, when I was acting as Student Rep (for college). However, I don't think I supported my case very well.  (I was trying to present the view of having as many sims in portfolio, as possible to balance things out, overall. Additional to 'supplementary' stuff. Also, helps in becoming used to timing, stress, etc.)
We'll just have to wait and see what Student Services can arrange. 8)
Great, thank you for taking the issue one step further. Hopefully it will all be arranged soon :)
No problems! :)
I probably won't need them, and you are moving on (degree?). But they will be useful for future students. I only sent the query on 10th so might get response tomorrow. :D
Had email response from Graeme Johnston (Senior Administration Assistant at AAT):-
"
At present we do not provide past papers for skills tests although this is something we are looking in to. In the meantime you should speak to your college who should be able to offer you guidance and support completing these units.
"
Well thats helpful  but at least they are looking into it.
Thanks
Gem
