Is anyone else out there?

I eventually made it here though I don't know how many others yet have...

... how about a rubbish ****ogy? The old AAT forum was a once mighty ship that disastrously sank through inept direction and without lifeboats, launching everyone into the water... me and you have made it to dry land Hellen though I suspect there are many others still lost at sea.

... not the AAT's finest hour is it?

Hi Guys,

I seem to have picked a bad day for my time post...

It's not the easiest forum i've ever used. I hope it does'nt put people off using and posting here :confused1:

Hello Harley - I see that some familiar names are gradually trickling over...

What will be happening on the 30th?

Isn't that when we get a new forum?

Is this a temporary one?

blobbyh

This is my prediction;

There'll be yet another new forum opening up making just one in total for the AAT site team and four for the rest of us!

I'm still gobsmacked that Anna was seemingly unaware of the dual forums running for the past few weeks...

Does that mean that they never saw our sneak previews or what Simon does in Australia?

We were aware of the dual forum situation (it was just as an annoying problem for us) and that has been resolved with these new forums. In your original post you referred to there being more then one website, not forums, which is quite different.

Thank you all for your continued feedback, it's very useful.

This might be just my ignorance but there were two separate web addresses;

http://forums.aat.org.uk/forums/forums/list.page

and

http://www.accountingtechnician.co.uk/forums/forums/list.page

I'm no rocket scientist and I know you're saying I must be wrong here but I saw two apparently unassociated web addresses, so naturally assumed there were two different websites which would usually be the case?!!

Never mind, we're there now aren't we? :thumbup:

Hi Guys

I'm also here! Not sure about the site though, on first glance it doesn't seem the most easiest site to find things, still lets give it a chance.:001_unsure:

If my memory serves me correctly - when the AAT changed the forums a few years ago to the last ones which have just been sent to "forum heaven" - there was upheavel then because people struggled to navigate them. I think we should give these a chance because we will get used to the layout.

well hello there

I must admit I am quite happy with the new forum - dont know how easy it is to use though - but only because I could never get logged onto my old one, I'd forgotten my password and it never sent the email reminder :thumbup1:

I'm not happy now, but hope to be.
I just wish they would stop faffing about and sub-head the forums with the different levels as I'm not always sure what's being asked!

:huh: I am just a lil confused as to the layout of this site. It's brighter, more cheerful and looks a hell of a lot more sophisticated in comparision to the old forums but it also is a lil daunting :001_unsure: Don't get me wrong I am not a technophobe, just overwhelmed :confused1: Fingers crossed in a week or so we will all be :001_wub: with it. I'll stop it with the smileys now :lol:

Well, at least we seem to have a proper forum. I think it was a mistake not to keep the familiar structure from the old forum, there's people going to be confused enough as it is.

Typical rubbish AAT change management though :thumbdown:

Robert, are you doing a "I've counted them all out and I've counted them all in" routine? :lol:

Not before your time, was it? :blushing:

I hate the look of the new forum, but am not too bothered as long as messages don't keep appearing and disappearing at random like they did on the old forum.

No, but if you click the ABC arrow in the top right corner of the message pane, it'll prompt you to download an Internet Explorer spell checker plug-in which you can use.

Hi Blobbyh

Just wanted to say thanks for the Ratio flashcards you emailed a few weeks ago. I would like to say they were a great help, but as they have all just evaporated from my memory....! Not that I'm starting to panic or anything:crying:
