Hello everyone.

Some time ago I considered the idea of setting up a Sage Payroll Training Course in this area as I had at the time ceased teaching the course at Adult Education College.

At the time I was unable to devote enough resources into the project, however having discussed the matter with several members of Re-Skills programmes, Training institutions etc in the area I hope to set up a 5/6 week course, (one day per week) in the South Lakes area (Cumbria) and would be interested in hearing from anyone who would find this course useful.

Obviously at this time details of cost, location, times etc are not available this is simply a message to determine the number of interested parties.

I would envisage that all materials, software, refreshments etc would be provided.

The course would probably lead to NVQ qualification at level 2 or above

Can anyone who would be interested if this course were to become available in 2008 please post a reply as soon as possible, or to ask any questions, I will attempt to reply to all with as much information as is available at this time.

Many thanks for your time.

Hi friends, I'm wondering as to whether everyone gets the same percentage taken out of their paycheck for Federal Income, FICA and Federal Medicare or if it's based on how much money you make? Or is there some other factor? I'm also confused about is tax brackets. How does this play into how much taxes you pay? Does this factor in somehow to how much money is taken from each paycheck? Please help me.

candylady11,

I was very interested to read your query but I suspect you will not get a satisfactory answer here because this forum deals specifically with student issues on the UK payroll education process.

I was going to suggest that you log onto a professional payroll forum which has USA members but is based here in the UK. Go to www.paypershop.com/forums and post the question in one of the overseas forums and I am certain you will get a satisfactory response.

Mohmedsalim,

I am going to be interested in the reply you get because to my knowledge the Sage training course is specifically about using Sage to do payroll and not a general educational course about payroll shich happens to use Sage as the demonstration medium, am I right ritac? Shoot me down if I am wrong!

To get a formal level 2 you have to do an accredited NVQ level 2 course, like the AAT one though there are others which are not formally NVQ but are accredited by other bodies as being around the level 2 to 3 mark.

May I ask, what are you studying at the moment?
