View Full Version : Proper thread on AWS

This is my second, rather more serious thread on AWS - I think I may have came across a teeny bit confused/anxious/mental in the first thread, although I think I got away with it...
I'd just like some idea of what the course involves. The IAC part of the course ran for 3 months almost, but the AWS course seems to be 3/4weeks long and ends in February. Will the exam be in February or, as I was told first, in June? What is involved in accounting work skills? Will we be learning new stuff or just applying the knowledge from IAC in real life? Will it involve being taught the basics of excel and other apps that we'll need for work? I have been given very limited info on this, so any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

Here are links to a sample simulation (but be aware that these may be questions your lecturer may wish to use for formative assessment, so only attempt the tasks when you have checked with him or her first)

Sandy, thanks for the links :thumbup1: it sounds very, er, interesting!
I'm going through with Kaplan and the schedule they've outlined does seem quite short for all that in the links. We will have 7 lessons and then a simulation, all in the space of 5 weeks. Does anyone know if that will be the full course?? And is the simulation the exam? I was told the exam would be in the summer? Not in February?
Good morning Sandy
I've had a look at the speciment simulations you posted above. However, they do not seem to be of much use as a practical tool for revision as they repeatedly refer to data (spreadsheet files) that do not appear to be included.
Am I missing something???....... It is early!
