Help with Quickbooks Payroll

Quickbooks keeps rejecting the temporary NI number and the BR tax code that I have been told to use for two new employees.
Please help!!!

I am not aware of how the Quickbooks system works but there ought to be a query facility which lets you know the format it wants the information in. Remember though that many systems do restrict your ability to use the temporary NI number because it is not accepted by HMRC on any official returns or reports.

Technically you should never use the TN date of birth M or F and that is why the system will insist that you have a date of birth and gender on the database so that when the year end returns are submitted they can enter this information to back up a blank NI number field as this is the correct entry to use when you dont have a proper NI number.

I think you should try leaving the field blank and see what the system does then.

What it is doing for the BR tax code I cannot think, unless it has to go in in a specific format and again there ought to be a query facility which tells you what the format is.
