PBR - Michael Steed seems think that the new income shifting rules will be like IR35 mkII! I tend to agree - a very subjective rule! Anyone else listened to the podcast?

I have listened to this podcast and I agree. It will be interesting to see how the 'control' of distributions pans out. I suspect that we will now start to see stat books with minutes for a lot more 'board meetings' being held. Or have i misinterpreted what Mike is saying.

I think that NI is also a 'watch this space' subject with class 4 following the tax treatment of income sort of leaves company distributions dangling out there!

I think what he is saying, is that it will turn out to be an un-workable piece of legislation. The government think it all sounds good now (in draft) but when it's passed and put into practice it will be a flop.
