VAT quick question for unit 31?

Regarding the VAT eliment of unit 31, on a VAT 100 when processing overseas purchases and sales i know you dont charge VAT but however do you have to show what the VAT might have been if you had charged so that the govenment have the figures?

Sorry got a little confused (or maybe a lot) with this - i deal with VAT on a day to day basis but never dealt with overseas?

Just we spent over an hour in class last week going over this VAT overseas thing and must admit it went right over the top of my head.
