I sent off my application for full membership MAAT status on the 02nd of September. After hearing absolutely zero for several weeks I eventually get an e-mail requesting more information. That was mid October. I had only 8 months experience with my current employer and because my old boss totally disregarded the AAT qualification I would not contact him for previous work experience even though I have worked in practice for over 5 years. Therefore I did not fulfill the AAT work experience criteria. I sent off my CV, all the hugely irritating forms, etc. I rang the AAT this morning and my application is with the assessors (yet again) and I should hear back in about 3 weeks. How long does it take to look at one application?! What do these assessors do all day?! I have now been with my current employer 10 months and by the time I will hear back no doubt I will have fulfilled the work experience requirement anyway!<BR>I would like to get this sorted out as I want to progress to onto ICAEW, maybe with another employer. Has anyone else feel as though they have been treated like this? Or am I the only one who keeps forgetting how 'professional' the AAT is in dealing with people? Sorry to moan but I've had it up to here waiting.
