I am doing AAT foundation at college, and so far the only computer package we've used is excel. Does anyone know at what point we start to use sage, and what version of sage I need to be able to do stuff at home (i don't work at moment so that's not an option)? Any advice appreciated. Also, any idea how much I can buy the program for?
Cheers

I use Instant Accounts, which doesn't include stock control, but is a lot cheaper than the financial controller version.
We are using sage line 50 also i may think about incorporating it with a OCR level 2 it computerised accounting. This maybe something else for you to think about as it would be another 'piece of paper' to add to your AAT !

Heya,
Im doing the AAT foundation level at the moment through my work, and we work mainly on sage line 100 which basically covers everything. Im not sure how much it would be for the package but your tutor should be able to tell you. Other than that I can't help you, other than to tell you that sage is a very useful and easy package to use. Its very simple once you get used to it...
Good luck with your AAT
Tracey x.

o.k. thanks. Spoke to tutor, and he said most we'll get in AAT on sage is a couple of quick sessions during year, if there's time. Said it's not part of AAT as such, and that he thought students should wait until end of intermediate and then do short computerised accounts course.
Not convinced!
Thanks for replies
Sandy
