If your difference is divisible by nine then you have got figures transposed i.e. entered 45 instead of 54.

Divide it by two to see if it matches any figure that you may have put on the wrong side.

Good luck
Annette
Hi

We've been taught to remember the following;

Debit Credit
P Purchases
E Expenses
A Assets
R Revenue
L Liabilites
S Sales

Also remember that Drawings are a debit (remember it starts with DR)
Capital is a credit (remember is starts with C)

I found this to be really useful and no longer have a problem balancing the Trial Balance.

Hope it helps!

Tracy (aka Columbia)
