SIMC is really easy, the basics is just common sense...

The skills test I took consisted of having to code up example invoices and writing memos/emails to managers or directors (hence the name of the unit).

It really is not difficult at all...

Everyone finds different units different - I am struggling with Unit 4, but found all foundation really easy and finding intermediate unit 5 easy. It all depends on yourself really.

Have you not got any practice Sims to look at? There is 2 on the msn foundation group!

I found that alittle geography is needed for this unit - which I hate - I had to code sales invoices according to the area of england they were sold too - which I made a mess of as I didnt know where some places were!!!

It all depends on how you cope generally with the work? my tutor says I look to far into things which makes silly mistakes. I used foulk lynch books which also are really bad for the wrong answers and mistake in the books which dont help.

I have about 5 practise sims and struggle with about 3 of them - but Im taking the real one next week so wish me luck, lol!!

The questions are coding of invoices, variance reports including comparing to budget and precentage rates. Memo's and letters to management.

Hope this helps and good luck!!!!

"other stuff"? hehe... depends what you mean by other stuff, because after doing my SIMC skills test I haven't been back to college but the next module is "Accounts". Fingers crossed I'll do alright. Oh and I'm glad I helped...

Hi, have done simulations on unit 4, not as bad as first expected, tip is to read the tasks throughly before you do them. Good luck.
