Hello everyone,
Am new to FTC n AAT, so any tips would be good, am a 'mature' student, so tips on how to get back into studying would be great, keeping concentration etc!
Hiya Georgiegirl,

I reckon the best tip I could give ya is don't leave things till the last minute. I did in Foundation/ Inter years and ended up rushing things which is never good.

Things like the Portfolio/ MAS Project take a lot of time to put together. Whenever you've got a spare half hour try and do a bit, it's surprising how far you can get like this as opposed to leaving it until the last minute.

Concentration's a difficult one coz the subject matter's mostly real boring! Giving yourself rewards usually works but you got to be disciplined enough to put the graft in.

Good luck, before you know it you'll be finishing AAT and well into 'study mode'!

Pete.
I'm 36 years old and just started studying for AAT foundation through distance learning with FTC I agree with Pete, you have to try and do as much as you can when you can, I too have left things too late on occasion and had to rush them to get them done in time, I now try to dedicate time to the course on a daily basis, but the bulk is still done on Sundays as this is really the only day I have free.

I have found the people at FTC to be very helpful whenever I have needed help and or advice and this message board has also helped a lot too.

Hope this helped in some way, and good luck with your studies.

Nick
