I completed the Intermediate Stage & part of the Technician Stage about 5 years ago. Then due to work comittments had to stop studying.

I have not contacted AAT until now, now that I wish to re-commence my study. However, nobody seems to be able to tell me what I need to do, whether my qualifications are lost or carried forward - or even how qualified I am.

Does anyone know what the position is now with regard to the Old Standards & recommencing study ?

Hi

The standards are about to change, in fact they have but the 'old standards are going to contiunue running for a while. Im not sure if the standards you completed are the same as the ones that are about to pass, but if there not then there may be trasnition arrangements.

Youve passed intermediate and there is no need to repeat it, even tho new standards are coming in once youve passed it, passed it!!!. Did you complete nay of the technician stage? If you did you should be able to carry on where you left off but note the new standards i mentioned above! The exams under the 'old' standards have there last sitting in december 2004, the devolveds must be completed by jube 2006. Any completed 'old' units can not be transferred to the new standards. Basically, if you dont complete technician under the existing standards before they 'stop', youll have start technician again under the new standards.

I hope this helps, if not please ask

N

Hi, I'm sorry if this confuses you even more but from what I've been told by a previous student, this is the second time that the standards have changed since you last sat your exams. So maybe the time has run out for the standards that you were working on?
