Engagement Letters

Can anyone give any help with engagement letters for clients. Has anyone had any reaction from clients re the threat to report dishonesty in the sample AAT engagement letter. All the sample letters available seem to be too long and tend to give the impression that the clients are signing their life away.

The engagement letter is there for the protection of both of you. One of my clients asked if it was normal. I simply pointed out that it was for his protection and he signed without any bother!
