View Full Version : DFS past papers
Does anybody have copies of past papers and answers for this unit for 1998 & 1999.
Why '98 and '99? (and what's DFS, other than a furniture store (I can't remember that far back)?)

Drafting Financial Statements?
You are the first one to criticise others for making ignorant comments. The reason you can't remember that far back is that you completed AAT years ago and currently doing your finals for ACCA as you continue to inform us. Stop clogging up the AAT forum with your messages and get yourself a life.
I don't think there's any need for you to take that tone with me. Maybe you should get your facts right and note that I'm not the one who usually trolls on these forums.

Many people have been grateful when I answer their questions, and as you rightly point out I sat most of AAT several years ago, which means that I may or may not have copies of the papers you requested (I asked for clarification of the subject). Right now I'm damned if I'll help you with this or any other future query you may have.

Melanie has been of great help to very many students, and is still well aware of what studying AAT is like in both the general sense, e.g. techniques for completing the assignments and exams, and detail of accounting practices. Unlike many teachers and tutors who last sat an exam many years ago (and perhaps *never* sat or marked an AAT central!).

We should be grateful that Melanie is willing to help out those of us who are a few rungs further down the ladder and are grateful for the helping hand to get up it; very few people with such knowledge are willing to give their time to help. Haven't seen much (any?) good advice from "steffg" (who is obviously so confident in his/her rebuff that he/she'll never need any help in life). There's no rule that AAT full members cannot help students here, so belt up.
The only thing steffg asked for were copies of past papers. I agree Melanie has been very helpful on this forum but there was no need for the sarcasm. I would have thought it was rather obvious from other messages on the site what DFS stands for and we've already had the furniture store jokes. Melanie in this case your response was rude and I fail to see that you offered steffg any help in the first place.

Had I been given a answer by steffg then I would have pointed to where both question papers and answer papers can be downloaded from the ACCAs site, since I'm assuming (after all, steffg didn't have the decency to actually answer my question) that the request for papers '98 and '99 was for more practice papers.

If you think I was rude, then maybe you should reread steffg's reply to me. I merely replied back in a manner that was appropriate under the circumstances. I would say that steffg is the one responsible for over-the-top, rude and sarcastic comments here!
Yed Melanie may have been sracastic, but we all are at times. Steffg was just plain rude. Being sarcastic (in a light way like Melanie was) just brings a bit of life to what could end up being a rather dull forum!
Hi steffg

Gosh, gets a little heated in here, doesn't it!

What no-one has mentioned is that, as the standards changed in 2000, papers from '98 and '99 are of limited value as a revision tool.

Good luck in June.
