MAS Project - Advice

Hi,<BR><BR>I know there are loads of topics flying around about this, but I thought I'd start a new one! Lol<BR><BR>I have been looking at the content and what is required. Hi all. Good luck with your projects.<BR><BR>On the matter of word counts, if you are using MS Word to write your projects there is a word count facility in the Tools menu. <BR><BR>Thought I'd point this out in case it helps.<BR><BR>Scotty.

Another comment on word counts; you don't include indexes and appendixes in the word count, so if you find yourself going over the 4000 (which is very easy once you get going!!), just re-jiggle bits around and stick them in as appendixes. I had to put all the staff job descriptions in as an appendix as they took up a couple of pages alone.

I have been told that the emphasis of the project has changed a lot by the new standards, so much so that what I started in the summer is now not much use. There is now a big emphasis on management which has not appeared in the projects of previous years. Has anyone else been told the same?<BR>

Yes the new project has to cover both an actual accounting system and the people who use it

Hiya Jo - know what you mean about where to start! If you click onto AAT online there are some MAS advice notes on what stuff to put under what sections and a template to download which I found quite useful.<BR>Sam
