What is best practice- internal and external

i have done my first draft of my MAS project and it is has been assessed. The assessor tell me that that I need to talk about best practice within and outside the organisation - My project in on time and attendance and payroll. I have a p.c and range to cover<BR><BR>Someone plz help<BR><BR>thanks in advance

Hi Techibabe<BR><BR>A project of Time and Attendance and Payroll is ideal for examples of best practice (element 3 Prevent fraud in an accounting system). Internally you may have a policy on procedure for absence such as someone calls in sick then line manager needs to be informed, a absence report would need signing and entering to the payroll so that sick pay is paid. Best practice might mean that regular reports are run for management to look for probelm employees i.e. those calling in sick once or twice every month and a possible procedure to interview those people each time an absence occurs to discourage abuse. As for payroll itself there must be hundreds of examples of best pratice such as getting next one up authorisation to make payments etc.<BR><BR>Regards Clive<BR><BR><BR><BR>
