Posting to Sage

Is it possible to post transactions to Sage without them batching together?<BR><BR>I have tried posting Payments and Receipts with each transaction in a separate batch, but when I go to do the bank reconciliation I am still finding the transactions link together making it impossible to reconcile the bank.<BR>

Hi Sue, Are you posting everything with the same date ? If you are and each item has the same reference it will group the postings together. Try using a different reference or type something different in the details box, this should split the entries.<BR>Andrea.

Hi Neil<BR><BR>I'm not sure, it was at a clients. I'm there again on Friday but I think it's the last time, because the business has been sold, I just went in to sort the mess their bookkeeper had left.<BR><BR>Sue

Hi<BR><BR>Ok, not really had that problem on Sage before, proving it was entered and then saved seperately it showed as seperate entries.<BR><BR>Neil

Hi Sue, It shouldn't matter which version of Sage you're using, they all tend to batch bank postings unless you vary the detail as suggested.<BR>On the subject of clients, no luck yet but a couple of irons in the fire ! I'm still working full time so it is difficult as the only time I have to dedicate is evenings and weekends. I plan to take a couple of days holiday and cold call businesses. I've passed my details on to an accountant who says he will pass on to clients. I've also just got hold of the local church mag as Claudia suggested so hopefully it won't be too expensive and I can try advertising in it. I just want to say Thanks to you both. It's great to communicate with helpful people, It's made me feel so much more optimistic !<BR>Andrea.
