You may wish to read this document from HMRC (previously Inland Revenue) concerning common errors in the completion of end of year PAYE returns.

The link is:

Perhaps this should be avoided this year!!

Hey XFSGPR, thanks for this I've emailed the payroll in our office - it will be invaluable to them.

However, you must be made aware tha they send these out (every year) automatically via post, so everybody will get them compliments of the Inland Revenue (oh sorry HMRC)

p.s. they are PAYE/NIC(National Insurance Contributions) end of year returns, not just PAYE returns - this may cause confusion by those people who are not fully conversant in their completion.

You are right - we need to avoid making mistakes this year.

Peugeot,

Have you read my message properly? It says unequivocally:
"concerning common errors in the completion of end of year PAYE returns"

What other PAYE Returns are there apart from year end stuff?

Am I missing something here? Waiting for you to enlighten me 14 years' experienced chap!

If you really want to be pedantic, they are P60's(employees), P14's (employer's) and P35's (summary) of PAYE and NIC.

Please - give it up (XR....)! It is simply not worth the hassle and I can't be arsed anyway. Like I've said on the other forum - there is no need for animosity - just be more diplomatic in your replies to forums you don't agree on. There is no need to be "bolshy" or ignorant with your replies. I don't know who you are or have even come across you before - but you seem to be very abrupt in every disagreement you have with other fellow students/members.

Just remember - this is a forum - not an exam! You are not in it for the competitiveness and can we please stop this childish nonsense. And, yes, it is me that's waving the white flag because, quite frankly, I'm ****ed off with it now ! Before we both get told off - let's agree to disagree and concentrate on what's more important - which is getting the students through the exams AND ALSO WHY THESE FORUMS WHERE ALSO DESIGNED

Regards
Steve
