Blackpool & The Fylde College scoop WorldSkills UK prize
Blackpool & The Fylde College has won gold in the WorldSkills UK Accounting Technician skills competition.
Ben Drury, Katie Walch and Emma Morley (pictured) from the college beat 11 other teams in the final which was held at AAT’s London offices at the end of June.
The following teams won the following places:
1st Gold – Blackpool & The Fylde College
2nd Silver – NECC Middlesborough
3rd Silver – City of Bristol College
4th Silver – Halesowen College
Joint 5th Bronze – Sussex Coast College
Joint 5th Bronze - White Horse Training Ltd
7th Bronze – NECC Darlington
8th Bronze –Babington Business College

The Gold winning team will be invited to attend the WorldSkills UK Gold Awards ceremony at the IMAX cinema in London on 4 November 2010.* The awards ceremony is for gold medal winners across all categories and will be presented by a celebrity guest.
