The formation of the International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC) has been welcomed by AAT.

As a member of the Accounting Bodies Network (ABN) – part of the Accounting for Sustainability initiative (A4S) – AAT is well placed to play a major role in the new Committee’s work.

The IIRC’s remit will be to undertake a radical review of company reporting, addressing companies’ financial statements. It will also consider management commentary, governance, remuneration and environmental and social issues.

Participants in the initiative include the Big Four auditors – PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG – as well as influential not-for-profit groups such as A4S and the Global Reporting Initiative.
