Congratulations to Jessica D'Aulerio who has been recognised as the Government's Accounting Technician of the Year. Jessica is currently Head of Accounts Receivable Team at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Jessica is currently studying hard for her AAT qualification under the FCO's professional finance training scheme. She first came to 'prominence' 18 months ago at the FCO's transaction processing centre while working on their complex bank reconciliations. She stood out for her ability to think beyond the task in hand. Jessica continues to take responsibility for issues and to enhance the processing centre's drive towards better customer service and technical excellence. She has used her studies to increase her effectiveness and is an excellent example of the benefits of spotting and nurturing internal talent.

However, Jessica very nearly didn't come into accounting because she is very artistic and studied Interior Design at Regent Academy in London. The art world’s loss is our gain!
