Use your expertise and give something back

AAT has joined an exciting new partnership with Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg) to help support the delivery of financial capability in schools.

The partnership is part of pfeg’s initiative Use Your Expertise (UYE). It brings trained volunteers from the world of finance and schools together to develop personal finance lessons and activities – and they are looking for AAT members to get involved.

The partnership will develop a programme of initiatives to help raise awareness amongst secondary school pupils about the importance of money management. This will complement the work already being carried out by pfeg through My Money – a project funded by the Department for Children Schools and Families.

A core part of the My Money project will be the second annual My Money Week in the summer. The week – which takes place between 28 June-4 July – provides a nationwide focus for schools on financial capability, giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to manage their own finances successfully for the future.

The week offers an exciting opportunity for volunteers to take part and give pupils an insight in to the financial world and develop their enterprising skills.  Events include financial capability theatre workshops, save cash and save the planet.
