Hilary Lindsay elected as next Vice President
Following completion of the recent election process we are delighted to announce the election of Hilary Lindsay as AAT’s next Vice President. Hilary will be installed as AAT Vice President at the AGM on 21 May 2010.
Having graduated from University College, London Hilary qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. In 1986 Hilary decided to combine her interests in accountancy and management and joined the Practice Advisory Service of ICAEW, advising accountancy practices and lecturing on practice management and development issues. She subsequently became the Finance Director of Accountancy Business Group, the commercial arm of the Institute and in 1992 was promoted to the role of Director, District Societies and Boards.
Having completed an MBA Hilary now lectures on finance and management for the Open University Business School and undertakes related e learning consultancy work.
Hilary has been an AAT Council Member since 2006 and chairs the Learning and Development Board as well as being a Council Member of ICAEW. She is also a Trustee of the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association and is the Chairman of Northampton Samaritans.
Hilary is very excited about the opportunity she now has to help put the AAT at the heart of every business.
