New Ofqual guidance for avoiding bogus colleges

Ofqual has released advice to students for avoiding bogus colleges and training providers.

Advice includes looking for a series of warning signs including:

  • inappropriately high or low fees in comparison to other providers
  • short course time
  • how the course is promoted.

You can check if your college is an AAT approved training provider online.

If you believe you have enrolled with a bogus college – or have found one when looking for a training provider – please contact our Conduct and Compliance team on 020 7397 3008 or by email.

The full version of the guidance is available on the Ofqual website.
