Membership qualifications

There are a number of routes you may wish to take to full membership. The most common route is via the AAT Accounting Technician qualification. On completion of all three stages, you will be sent a Membership Application Guide along with your NVQ/SVQ Level 4 or Diploma certificate.

There are four main requirements for full membership when applying on this basis, these are:

• Proven competence at NVQ/SVQ Levels 3 and 4 in Accounting
• A minimum of one year's full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant work experience
• Completion of at least one year's registration as an AAT student or affiliate member
• Evidence of suitability for full membership and commitment to the AAT.
