Gender pay gap

This year’s International Women’s Day comes after a year in which gender inequality in the workplace has come under the spotlight more regularly than ever before.

Theresa May announced in her inaugural speech as Prime Minister that tackling the gender pay gap would be high on her list of priorities, but there have been almost weekly headlines highlighting that the gap still very much exists, and indeed escalates once women reach their 30s and 40s.

In October, AAT invited a group of stakeholders representing several different industries to its London offices to discuss how businesses of all sizes could collectively tackle the gender pay gap. Recommendations from the event in our white paper include calls for greater implementation of shared parental leave and making changes to flexible working.

In celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, AAT has put together a quiz celebrating some famous female achievements and highlighting some of the onoing gender inequality issues still existing in today’s society.

Can you get all the questions right without cheating? We’d be highly impressed if so!
