AAT today announces a series of appointments which bolster their account management team in the UK.

Four new account managers have been appointed for various UK regions. Danielle Smith, a Fellow Member of AAT, has joined as regional account manager for the Midlands. Danielle initially qualified as an accountant before moving into the education sector, where she has experience lecturing in accountancy and business. Most recently, Danielle acted as apprenticeship cluster lead for Halesowen College, while she has been shortlisted for the inaugural Women in Accountancy and Finance Awards (in the technician category), results for which will be revealed in May 2020.

Meanwhile, Yvonne Eaves has joined as regional account manager for the London North region. Yvonne joins from City and Guilds where she worked as a business manager, while she has held account management roles at the NCFE – where she specialised in End Point Assessments for apprentices – as well as in recruitment for major High Street firms.

Amy Bishop is the third regional account manager to join; she will hold responsibility for the North West region. Amy has a strong track record in business development and account management within colleges and training providers. Her roles have particularly focussed around identifying opportunities in large organisations across multiple sectors, to support them in utilising their apprenticeship levy to develop their workforce.

Finally, AAT has appointed a new account manager with specific responsibilities for UK-based employers. Marlon Thomas has previous experience engaging employers at both Kaplan Financial and A4E, while he most recently was a partner and sales director at Speech Inspired Employment/First Class Education Solutions.

Rob Alder, Head of Business Development, AAT said: “AAT’s high quality accounting qualifications are respected across the UK. However, with a dynamic market, it’s critical that we have skilled and extremely competent account managers to maintain strong relationships with both training providers and employers, to ensure we continue to grow our market and ensure our products and services meet customer needs.

“We are thrilled that Danielle, Yvonne, Amy, and Marlon have joined us. All four individuals have been identified for their attitude to delivering a strong service as well as their experience in the accounting and education sector. We look forward to them developing their skills further with AAT.”
