AAT Members' Assembly

In 2019 AAT formed a new Members' Assembly to provide a voice for the wider AAT membership and provide feedback to AAT's Council on policy issues and matters of wider concern affecting the membership as a whole.

The assembly was set up to represent the full diversity of AAT's members across all business sectors with members who are representative of the wide array of experience, expertise and engagement with AAT's activities.

It's now fully embedded into AAT's governance structure and we're looking to expand it and continue to ensure our diverse membership has a representative voice. We've opened the expressions of interest to run on a rolling basis to allow members to apply at any point during the year.

What it involves

What it involves

The Members' Assembly is a forum developed as part of the recent changes to AAT's wider governance framework. It meets twice a year and is hosted by a member of Council. The meetings are held in London and in other cities across the UK in recognition of the geographical spread of the membership.

Members of the assembly are given the chance to:

  • consider, debate and provide feedback to Council on public policy issues and wider sector and membership concerns
  • provide feedback on AAT's progress against business plan objectives
  • provide a voice for the wider membership.
