2018 AAT Training Provider Award winners announced
29 May 2018

The 2018 AAT Training Provider awards took place on Thursday 24 May, at AAT’s Training Provider Conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. Students and training providers have been recognised for outstanding efforts studying and providing AAT qualifications.
Student of the year was won by Tamara Salter, who excelled in her studies while dealing with serious medical problems. Apprentice of the Year was won by Rebecca Mooney, was nominated for showing resilience by dealing with her family home being hit by flooding while studying, and also acting as a role model to other apprentices at her workplace. Distance Learner of the Year was won by Miranda Buchannan, who balanced passing her AAT qualifications with being a working mother of two young children.
AAT President Nicky Fisher says:
I really enjoyed the event, meeting all the nominees and learning about their different experiences. Our aim at AAT is to help people change their lives through their studies, and it was great to meet people who have done just that. Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who was shortlisted.
Tamara Salter says:
When I heard that I‘d won the award, I was absolutely delighted and rather proud of what I had achieved by completing my AAT studies whilst having to deal with ongoing health issues on a daily basis.
Studying for the AAT qualification was one of the things which gave me something positive to focus on during a very difficult period.
