Apprentices from accounting and advisory network Moore Stephens visit AAT head office.

AAT has welcomed apprentices from accounting and advisory network Moore Stephens to its head office in Barbican.

As part of AAT’s ongoing commitment to helping the next generation of apprentices into the accounting and finance industry, senior management from AAT met with apprentices Olivia Snell and Thomas Mckinnon-Dibley, both 19, as well as Beatrice Waller, Learning and Development Administrator at Moore Stephens.

Whilst visiting AAT, Olivia and Thomas were able to find out more about the organisation and its variety of accounting and bookkeeping qualifications and future plans, along with sharing their own experiences of the apprenticeship scheme at Moore Stephens.

Olivia said: "Gaining financial knowledge from AAT has not only improved my technical and analytical skills, but has enabled me to have better time management and more confidence when networking. I’m always learning something new, and as a result am being given more responsibilities."

Thomas said: "Moore Stephens’ apprenticeship scheme has been great for confidence building, which was one of my biggest challenges when learning new skills. AAT provides a great foundation to go on to further studies in the finance industry."

Beatrice Waller added: "At Moore Stephens, we pride ourselves on investing in our staff and their development. We have benefited from employees who have undertaken the AAT training having greater financial knowledge and understanding. The apprenticeship route helps develop competent employees with certain knowledge, skills and behaviours, in addition to their finance qualifications."
