AAT has been recognised for its communications achievements in two categories at the Memcom Excellence Awards 2020.

AAT’s Head of Public Affairs and Public Policy Phil Hall was named Outstanding Achiever in a Membership Organisation, beating competition from the Association of Corporate Treasurers and Business in the Community. This is the second year Phil has been shortlisted for the award.

Meanwhile, the organisation’s "Ready, Set, Go" campaign was highly commended by judges in the Best Student Engagement Initiative award category. The campaign engaged with newly-registered students and those progressing through their AAT studies and taking their final assessments. Since the campaign launch, over 5,000 students at AAT’s Foundation Level have signed up to receive emails supporting them through their studies, with nearly 2,500 assessments sat as a result (and with an 80% pass rate).

AAT’s dedicated student magazine "20", launched in 2018 and published three times a year, was also shortlisted in the same category.

The Memcom Excellence Awards 2020 showcase and celebrate achievement across professional bodies, trade associations, membership charities and various providers working in the membership sector. The online ceremony was held on 17 September 2020, delayed from its initial June date due to the coronavirus outbreak.
